The USGenWeb Census Project has 3 lists: the USGWARCH-CEN, the
USGWARCH-CART, and the USGW-ACP-CENTRANS.
The USGWARCH-CEN list is a mailing list for all of the census
volunteers. It is available as USGWARCH-CEN, where the subscriber receives
each post, or as USGWARCH-CEN-D where the subscribers receive a digest form
of the posts. All volunteers are subscribed when they join the project. It is a closed,
private list where we can discuss the USGenWeb Census Project, ask the other
volunters for advice, and away for the Archives Census Project staff to communicate
with everyone. You can not subscribe yourself to this census list. You must be
subscribed by the
Census Project staff.
This is to keep people who are not involved with the Census Project from posting
genealogical inquiries to the list. If you wish to switch to USGWARCH-CEN-D, or if
you are going to be on vacation and wish to be unsubscribed while you are gone,
please notify us and we will take care of it.
The USGWARCH-CART is a mailing list for those volunteers who are using the CART program. Like the census list, it is available in single email form: USGWARCH-CART and a digest version: USGWARCH-CART-D. You can subscribe yourself to this list by writing to: USGWARCH-CART-request@rootsweb.com and typing SUBSCRIBE in the body.
The USGW-ACP-CENTRANS is a mailing list for those volunteers who are
using the CenTrans program. Like the census list, it is available in single email form:
USGW-ACP-CENTRANS and a digest version: USGW-ACP-CENTRANS-D. You can subscribe
yourself to this list by writing to:
USGW-ACP-CENTRANS-request@rootsweb.com and typing SUBSCRIBE in the body.
