It is not included in TOTALS by Enumerator. ================ Page 3/Sheet 253 ================ 1: These are strike-though numbers not included in Col. Totals. ================ Page 4/Sheet 254 ================ NOTE 1: Number bleed through from back of page. Enumerator's Col. Total is correct. ================ Page 5/Sheet 255 ================ * 1: Faint numeral 1 entered but not included in total. ** 2: Numerals 3 and 1 entered but crossed out. Not included in totals. *** 3: Enumerator entered numeral 4 and then wrote numeral 5, which is correct, over the 4. **** 4: Enumerator's total for Col. FWF20_30 is 17 and count should be 15. ================= Page 11/Sheet 261 ================= 1: White spot on copy of original. Apparently "0" as Column total is correct without a numeral in this block. 2: White spot on copy of original. Part of numeral in total is whited out but the total is apparently "7" because line total is same as column totals with "7" in this block ================= Page 12/Sheet 262 ================= * Note 1: Enumerstor's line totals seem to be incorrect but Column total has correct sum. ================= Page 13/Sheet 263 ================= 1: * Note: In Col. 5, enumerator had total as ll but actual total is 13. In Col. 6, Enumerator had total of 10, but actual total is 9. Total of all persons is 223. 2: * Total of *222 is minus 1 due to the addition of numerals in Cols. 6 and 6. Incorrect addition of numerals in Cols. 5 and 6. ================= Page 14/Sheet 264 ================= 1: Numeral 1 on line 14 Col. SM0_10 appears to have been a mistake. Without counting it, the Col. And Line Totals are correct. ================= Page 15/Sheet 265 ================= 1: This mark is apparently unintentionally made by Enumerator as it is not included in totals for Line 12 not Col. FWM30_40. Total number of persons is correct without adding this mark. ================= Page 17/Sheet 267 ================= 1: Enumerator entered two numerals and crossed them out on this line. Column totals are correct without counting them. 2: Enumerator did not mark any numerals on Line 26 but listed John C. Calhoun's name. Slaves counts were entered and counted. ================= Page 18/Sheet 268 ================= 1: Enumerator appears to have entered numeral 2 and made a numeral 1 over it. The Column total is correct using this as numeral 1. 2: Enumerator had entered incorrect numerals in two boxes and crossed them out. ================= Page 21/Sheet 271 ================= 1: Enumerator had entered numeral 4 in column total and then wrote numeral 5 over it. Numeral 5 makes line and column totals correct. ================= Page 23/Sheet 273 ================= 1: Enumerator had entered numeral 3 and marked over with numeral 1. The numeral 1 is correct by the line and column totals. 2: Enumerator apparently made a pen mark in total for Col. FMW20_30 in front of the numeral 8. The numeral 8 makes the totals correct. 3: Enumerator enter a numerat 3 for Col. FWM40_50 total when it should be numeral 4 by his marks. He counted this numeral in the line total. 4: Enumerator enter a numeral 1 in Col. FWM40_50 and it was smudged--apparently an attempt to erase as it is not counter in the line nor column totals. 5: The Enumerator apparently totaled the entered the line column total of 185 . If he had counted the Total colums he would have gotten 195 by his entries. NOTE: This page has been a trying one but I hope all is correct on it. Let me know if you find another problem. ================= Page 29/Sheet 279 ================= 1: Enumerator entered numerals and then struck them out. Column totals verify the strike-out. ================= Page 30/Sheet 280 ================= 1: A small, light numeral is in Column 1 but is not counted by Enumerator in Line or Column totals. 2: Enumerator entered a numeral in the wrong column and struck it out. Totals for Line and Column are correct without counting this numeral. Crossed it out. Totals for Line and Column are correct without adding this numeral. ================= Page 33/Sheet 283 ================= 1: Enumerator entered the numeral 1 in wrong column and marked it out. ================= Page 34/Sheet 284 ================= 1: Enumerator had mistakenly entered numerals in columns and marked out. ================= Page 40/Sheet 290 ================= 1: Enumerator entered numerals marked by * and tried to erase them. Numerals not counted in totals. ================= Page 41/Sheet 291 ================= 1: Enumerator wrote the numeral 2 in the FWF20_30 Column very lightly, as he did to make corrections on other pages. However, it must be counted to obtain his Column total of 17. In Column FWF40_50, he had written a numeral 1 and crossed it out. That Column total does not include the 1. 2: Enumerator wrote total of 18 for Column FWM20_30 but actual total by his entries is 13 which agrees with line grand total. ================= Page 46/Sheet 296 ================= 1: Enumerator counted the crossed out numeral in line 14 and got 171 Total People. ================= Page 47/Sheet 297 ================= 1: Enumerator's Column total and Line Total does not agree; however, numerals are entered as Enumerator listed. entered them. ================= Page 51/Sheet 301 ================= 1: According to my addition for totals, the emumerator may be incorrect. ================= Page 55/Sheet 305 ================= 1: This numeral appears to be a correction by the Enumerator. It is not counted in the column total. ================= Page 65/Sheet 315 ================= 1: Enumerator wrote numerat 2 over numeral 1. He counted it as a numeral 2 in the Column and Line totals. ================= Page 67/Sheet 317 ================= 1: Numeral appears faintly marked as if Emunerator was trying to erase it, however, it is included in his column and line totals. ================= Page 68/Sheet 318 ================= 1: Enumerators grand total was 297, however, I ger 295. His total is in the original block. ================== Page 71/Sheet 321B ================== On Second Side of page near the top: The number of Persons within my Division, Consisting of Fourteen thousand four hundred and Twenty four, appears in the foregoing Schedule.
