Hockhocking Township Transcribers Remarks:
==========================================
The 1803 State of Ohio census for Hockhocking Township consists of one page with 
two columns of first and last names.  The Lister was Joseph Strickland. His 
handwriting is relatively easy to read, although he had a unique way of forming 
his capitol "D"s and "C"s that takes awhile to get used to.

Mr. Strickland began the page with the following heading: "An Enumeration Return 
of the White male Inhabitants above the age of twentyone years of the Township 
of Hockhocking." The list contains 44 names.  The page is ended with "Test 
Joseph Strickland Lister of Taxable Property Hockhocking August 28th 1803."
