Belpre Township Transcribers Remarks:
====================================

The Lister for the 1803 State Census for Belpre Township, Washington County, 
Ohio was Nathaniel Cushing. The list of names consists of one page with two 
columns containing the first and last names.  There were a total of 81 names.

At the top of the page is the following heading:

"Return of the white male Inhabitants, above the age of twenty-one years, within 
the township of Belpre'- County of Washington, in the State of Ohio, August 1st, 
1803.--"

Each column has the heading "Persons Names."

Mr. Cushing's handwriting was excellent, as was his spelling, so all of the 
names are legible.

The list has the following certification at the bottom right:

"Nathl Cushing Lister of taxable propy"
