1850 Noble County IN -  Census Notes

Page 289A Allen Twp, I looked over the list of Old Jobs and Pasteler was as close 
as I could come to this mans occupation.  It actually looked like Rustener but my 
proofer thought it started with a P comparing that letter with the P in Penn.

The name Hashbaugh pg. 227 A Washington Twp., does not appear in the census index.  
The proofreader and I felt it was very legibly written.  
I have added it to my listing of the index.

When I printed out the sheets for Perry Township, all 4 beginning pages, 186A and 186B, 
have dwelling numbers mixed up.

Wayne Township, 272A and 273 B are mixed with parts of Swan Twnp.  
I corrected the page numbers and closed the census, but when open they are still mixed. 
Record numbers 6412 through 6481.

Jefferson Twnp. Page 247A, had a comment written in the last column, that was unreadable.  
No notation at end of census to indicate what was written.

Orange Twnp. Enumerator indicated 10 newly married in the year, but count shows 12.

Sparta Twp., pg. 219A, the name Franklin is written in the last column, but no indication 
by the enumerator at the end of the census page.

Elkart Twp., no dwelling numbers 208A

York Twp., no dwelling numbers 206B, first 9 persons
