This is the paternal statement. 1 Remarks: Line 3. Cannot see Dr. Chupp. Likely as stated. Line No. 4. Dr. J. Dillworht says he never was professionally asked to see the lady, he called only once by request. 1 Remarks: of a friend to see her condition, never examined or made a diagnosis. Likely her disease was Hepatic. She lost her mind before death, and while on her bed became blind. She was 1 Remarks: occasionally troubled with cough. Never had the attention of a physician. Line No. 8. Dr. Baber cannot be found. Line No. 9 Seymour and wife reported their child stillborn--came 1 Remarks: fully to expectations; the attending physician makes a different statement--"abortion". Lines Nos. 12 & 14. None other than a colored midwife attended. Does not know cause of death. 1 Remarks: The skin of the child, immediately after death became yellow, she supposed it was jaundice. 1 Remarks: Line No. 18. The family reported no deaths during the Census Year in the family at the time of enumeration. This child birth was reported by the attending physician. He says the child 1 Remarks: was very large.
