However, the records for Burke County were not on the CD, so I had to transcribe using the records as they appear on the Ancestry.com website. Missing pages were rebuilt using NARA microfilm. Enumerator inserted "total" columns for each group of columns, which were not transcribed. Actual physical page numbers are recorded in the "Page" box; the page number recorded on the original (whether handwritten or stamped) is recorded in the "Stamped No." box. Pages stamped 1, 2 and 4 were used for documentation, not census data recording. They do not appear in the transcription. 1. Page 6 (stamped 9): enumeration of Waynesboro begins at line 19 (John Bell), concludes on page 7 (stamped 10) with line 9 (Charlotte Neyland). 2. Page 7 (stamped 10): line 15 has last name abbreviated to McDanl. Possibly McDaniel or McDaniels. 3. Page 22 (stamped 25): line 11 has last name abbreviated to McDanl. Possibly McDaniel or McDaniels.
